Jake Bidwell is on the verge of leaving Swansea City seemingly on a free transfer to Coventry City, according to the BBC.
The left back is out of contact in the summer and has been out of the team since early November, with Russell Martin preferring Ryan Manning.
The Swans manager now seems happy to let the full back, who joined on a free from QPR in 2019, leave for free to a Championship rival.
This would seemingly allow the club to push on with their own recruitment plans although letting a player of Bidwell’s experience leave for free seems a little questionable.
Bidwell has played 16 times for the Swans this season, scoring twice, and has been on the losing side five times. The team has lost four out of the six matches in which he hasn’t played, including the heavy defeat to Nottingham Forest, conceding 13 in those games.
