“We didn’t deserve anything”- Preston’s assessment of Saturday’s game

The Swans secured their first win since the end of November on Saturday thanks to a Ryan Manning wonderclass goal but the beaten keeper Daniel Iversen says that his side didn’t deserve anything from the game.

Iversen could not do a single thing to keep out Manning’s long range effort and was called upon to make some strong saves from Christie and Manning during the second half to keep the scoreline to just one goal but ultimately still send the Swans fans home happy with the three points safely in our possession.

Iversen was in no doubt that the Swans deserved the victory though, saying that the visitors did not do enough on the day to get anything out of the game.

โ€œDid we deserve anything from the game? Not really. We didnโ€™t deserve anything,” the keeper told the Lancashire Post.

โ€œWe didnโ€™t create many chances so that made it difficult.

โ€œOur quality wasnโ€™t there and we needed to be much better than we were.

โ€œWe have to bounce back quickly from this and we will have to play better at West Bromwich Albion than we did against Swansea.

โ€œThere were times when we played the ball back too much rather than going forward.โ€
