The Swans chances of landing Manchester City midfield starlet James McAtee may have reduced with a report by the Daily Mail suggesting that three Premier League clubs are now involved in trying to secure his services.

The publication reports that the interest has come after yet another match winning performance from Mcatee as he scored the only goal of the game to move Manchester City top of Premier League 2.ย  His goal was his 14th strike of the campaign.

The Swans are long term admirers of McAtee and are still hopeful of getting his signature on loan with it being well and widely reported that City are still waiting undecided on whether one of their hottest young prospects should be allowed out on loan or whether he would gain better education and experience around the first team squad at the Ethiad.

McAtee has just 18 months left on his current deal and other Championship sides Bournemouth, QPR and Blackburn are also keen to take him on loan giving the Swans even more competition for his services.

The report continues “Guardiola and City have asked McAtee to be patient as he continues to learn from those around him but the prospect of playing first team football regularly is a big attraction amid interest from the likes of Brighton and the clubs in the Championship.”

It is not a real surprise that a talent like McAtee is attracting so much interest and the Swans will be working and looking at other options should they be unable to secure McAtee although ย sporting director Mark Allen has held talks with those at his former club Man City over a potential move.
