Scott Fraser, Ipswich’s creative midfielder is a target as we know for the Swans this January but it was reported yesterday that Charlton had a bid rejected for the player with the bid said to be less than £400,000.
The East Anglian Daily Times made the report which came just a few days after it was advised that the Swans were indeed looking at a January move for Fraser although no firm bid has yet been received from the Swans for the player.
The midfielder has scored just once in twenty appearances this season for the Tractor Boys but is yet to feature for them under new manager Kieran McKenna although the publication reports that he is not a player they are looking to move on.
Speaking of the interest in Fraser, McKenna told the paper “The club haven’t come to me with anything concrete on that one, and those calls are directed towards the club.
“As far as I’m concerned he’s part of the planning. He’s not been able to get on the pitch during my time here so far but it’s only been five weeks or so. He’s had a little injury in that time and we’ve had games called off by Covid, too.
“I know all about Scott’s quality because I’ve watched lots of him for Burton and at MK Dons, so he’s certainly a player who has quality to impact at this level and one who can contribute if he gets the opportunity.”
Fraser remains a possibility for the Swans before the window closes at 11pm Monday.
