Darren Bond will be the man with the whistle when the Swans and Bournemouth meet at the Swansea.com stadium on Tuesday evening – it will be his first game in charge of the Swans this season.

The good news is the Swans have won the previous five matches in which Bond has taken charge of them in the league – a welcome statistic when you consider we have not won against Bournemouth in our last 10 outings!

Coming from a footballing family, Bond was appointed to the EFL Referee list in 2012 and more recently added to the Select Group 2 referees list in 2016.

After serving a year as an assistant referee in the Premier League, Bond recently reached the 200 games milestone as Referee in the EFL.

Bond has taken charge of just 10 Championship games so far this season, issuing 27 yellow cards and a red card for Kristian Pedersen in Birmingham’s 2-0 home defeat to Middlesbrough back in March.
