Graham Scott will be the man in the middle when the Swans finish their away league campaign on Saturday afternoon with a trip to face Steve Cooper’s promotion chasing Nottingham Forest.

It will be a tough afternoon for the Swans against an in-form Forest side who have promotion in their own hands and know that three successive wins will see them promoted back to the Premier League.

Scott has taken charge of 19 games this season between the Premier League and Championship, issuing 59 yellow cards in the process so expect a few cards and this is his first time officiating the Swans since a 1-0 win for us at Bolton in 2018.

The Oxfordshire-born referee officiated non-league and FA Cup First Round matches from 2006/07 before joining the National List of referees at the beginning 2008/09 season.

Scott was the man in the middle when then Premier League team Bolton Wanderers were shocked by Crawley Town in the 2012/13 League Cup.

Scott did send Courtney Baker-Richardson off in the 5th minute of a Swans win at Millwall back in 2018 and in 2016 he showed a red card to Kyle Naughton in a match of decisions that drew criticisms from both sides with Alan Curtis saying afterwards “There were plenty of incidents, but I think all the key talking points will probably be the refereeing decisions.

“I hate to say it but I would say that he probably got all the major decisions completely wrong.”

He was appointed to the Select group of referees ahead of the 2015/2016 season and now has almost 400 matches under his belt as a referee with a pretty high 78ย  red cards!

Scott will be assisted by Richard West and Matthew Wilkes whilst Oliver Langford is the fourth official.
