Swans confirm Hamer and Dhanda release

The Swans have confirmed this morning the release of Ben Hamer, Yan Dhanda and Korey Smith all of whom had their contracts expiring this summer.

The retained list was confirmed this morning and also saw goalkeepers Jamie Searle, Nico Defreitas-Hansen and Josh Gould confirmed as leaving the club at the conclusion of their deals.

The list also confirmed that “Academy players Josh Thomas, Kai Ludvigsen, Kian Jenkins and Ruben Davies have been offered new terms.

“Also in the academy ranks, Scott Butler, Rio Campbell, Ben Erickson, Cameron Evans, Jaden Forrester, Jacob Jones, Dylan Morgan, Ryan Bassett, Joshua Edwards, Aaron Hillier, Dylan Perkins and Tyler Evans will all leave Swansea City this summer.”

Been watching the Swans since the very late 1970s and running the Planet Swans website (in all its current and previous guises since the summer of 2001 As it stood JackArmy.net was right at the forefront of some of the activity against Tony Petty back in 2001, breaking many of the stories of the day as fans stood against the actions where the local media failed. Was involved with the Swans Supporters Trust from 2005, for the large part as Chairman before standing down in the summer of 2020.
