The transfer rumours have started in earnest in what is likely to be a very busy transfer window for Russell Martin and Swansea, with Matthew Sorinola and Jack Tucker the latest to be of apparent interest.
Sorinola, a left back who currently plays for Union SG in Belgium’s First Division, has been linked with a move since January having played under Russell Martin for MK Dons.
He featured 14 times as the newly promoted club finished 2nd behind Club Brugge after a successful season for the Dons where he made 34 appearances.
This one could well have some truth with January signing Nathanael Ogbeta understood to be available for a move away amid links he was offered to Peterborough along with Steven Benda in exchange for another player..
Should Ryan Manning be utilised more as a left back this coming season then that would leave the Swans in need of one more full back and with the previous links to Martin, Sorinola could well be a serious target as the transfer window gets into full swing.
As for Tucker, a centre half from Gillingham, many clubs are being touted as potential destinations for the out of contract 22 year old.
Hull City had a number of bids knocked back in the January transfer window whilst Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday are also understood to be chasing his signature.
The talent defender has made over 100 appearances for the Gills who were relegated to League Two on the final day – they would also be entitled to a compensation fee as Tucker is under 24 and has been offered new terms.
One would think this one is more agent talk rather than genuine speculation despite Martin’s desire to add up to two centre halves this summer.
Harry Darling will again undoubtedly be linked with a move but it very much rests on finances and whether Joel Piroe and/or Flynn Downes makes an exit from the club.
It’s surely going to be a busy summer.
Well that is all they are rumours them two in Levien& Kaplan will not be investing much money into our club as thyere other club they own in DC United are doing so badly that they will invest money in that club first we will have to sell players to have money to get players in or loan ones again .and well done Steave Cooper in getting Notingham Forest into the premiership that says it all about our owners who have not got a clue how to run a football club here in the UK and how many times after the lock down did they manage to come and watch the Swans play at home that’s how much they think of the club.
Forest brought in three players in the January window as their owner splashed the cash and backed Cooper in the title race. Cooper left Swansea because the owners failed to do the same thing when we were chasing an automatic promotion spot. Cooper knew then that this was a club without ambition other than to pay its way and balance the books. Unless we get new, expansive owners or the youth system flukily turns up a Mel Charles, Cliff Jones and Leighton James Swansea is going to remain a lower-half Championship side.
