BBC Sport made a late report just before the transfer window closed to say that Burnley had a third bid for Michael Obafemi turned down and the striker stays at Swansea.

As the sun dawned on deadline day it looked for all the money if the two clubs would reach an agreement but speculation on Twitter was they remained way apart on terms and BBC Sport confirmed that these discussions went on deep into the last minutes of the window but no agreement could be reached.

It meant that the window closed with the Swans holding onto both our strikers and the addition of just a defender on loan from Brentford.
