The Swans excellent win at Watford on Wednesday night ended as a fairly bad tempered affair as confusion reigned for a while as to whether there was the late award of a penalty to the home side.

Both Watford and the Swans were appealing for handball and eventually the decision was to award a free kick to the Swans in what proved to be the last action of the game.

The 2-1 win lifted the Swans into 6th place in the Championship ahead of today’s game against Sunderland at the Swansea.com stadium but it emerged yesterday that the confusion had also led the Swans to complain about Watford.

The club allege that that Imran Louza spat at Irishman Manning in the closing stages of the contest and Wales Online reported that the incident was raised by Swansea in their report of referee Tim Robinson’s performance.

If proven Louza could face a suspension, fine or most likely a combination of the both in what proved to be an eventful game.

The Swans won the game thanks to a header form Ben Cabango in the sixth minute of stoppage time which eventually extended to twenty minutes thanks to a series of injuries and a ten minute delay caused by the failure of the hawkeye technology.
