Get Behind Us Against Tranmere Is The Message

Over 15,500 turned up on Friday night and watched the Swans first defeat in 19 league games whilst their lead over the weekend was cut to eight points but both manager and skipper are asking the fans to get behind them again on Tuesday as they look to take a step towards the Championship with victory over a side pushing for a play off position.

The Swans will hit the road after this game with three away days in a seven day spell and everyone would like to send them on their way with a victory tomorrow night before the next game at the Liberty is in front of the Sky cameras on Easter Monday.

Speaking in the Evening Post, manager Roberto said ''It's very easy to be a fan, player, staff member or director of this club when things are going well, But it's when you have a result that's difficult to take that we need everyone at the club to come together and show our best face.

''We need to make sure that against Tranmere we get behind the boys and get that winning feeling back.''

Whilst Garry Monk told the official web site "It was a disappointing result against Millwall, but the good thing is that we can put things right straight away and get that disappointment out of our system.

"Saying that, we must also put things into perspective and remember that it was only our second league defeat in 26 games, which is a tremendous effort by everyone at the club.

"The fans were fantastic on Friday night. They came out in force and if we can pack our stadium for the remainder of the season and create the atmosphere that only the Jack Army can, it will have a massive effect on the team for the rest of the campaign.

"With just 12 games left, it's time for the players, staff, fans and everyone at the club to show their true character and stand up and be counted for the rest of the season.''
