As the Red Devils celebrated their 10th Premier League success at a gala dinner in Manchester, Brandy explained how it was Sir Alex Ferguson who recommended Swansea to the striker and he was rewarded with a League One winners medal at the end of that loan spell.
Brandy found the net on three occasions for the Swans including their winner in his final match of the spell at Brighton and Roberto has already expressed a possible desire to bring him back to the Liberty from Old Trafford next season.
Brandy is expected to sign a new contract with the Premiership Champions this summer but is never likely to feature much for them next season which could prompt a loan move to somewhere else.
“It was a very good experience for me,” said the United academy product in today's Western Mail.
“I didn’t know anything about the club before I joined but the more time I spent there I realised what a good club it was, what a good team it was and what good football they played.
“I had an offer to go on loan to Norwich, a Dutch club and a few others, but Sir Alex recommended Swansea.
“I’m glad he did because I really enjoyed it there.
“And it was great to win the title with them but to be honest I didn’t play as many games as I would have liked.
“When I did get my chance to start or come off the bench I played my part by getting a few goals and penalties and hopefully that helped the team in getting promoted. It was a great experience for me.”
