Roberto was a key admirer of the player last summer and it was reported that just wages were the stumbling block as he tried to get the defender to drop two divisions from the Premiership. But much has changed since that time with Moore voted Derby's player of the year last season as they were relegated from the Premiership with a record low points tally.
And that relegation has allegedly made Martinez think that he may be able to persuade the player to come down to South Wales and form part of the Swansea defence for next season.
According to a report in today's News of the World, admittedly not the most reliable of sources, Martinez wants Moore to help turn the Swans into a Championship force and is reported as believing that Derby's relegation coupled with Swansea's promotion will make that a reality.
Moore played in 31 of Derby's 38 Premiership games last season as the Rams won just one game – one of the seven in which Moore played no part – they drew 7 and lost 24 of those 31 games, conceding 77 goals in the process but that was still enough to earn him their player of the year tag.
Hey joined Derby just over 2 years ago from West Brom having previously played for Portsmouth, Bradford, Doncaster and Torquay.
