It’s Crewe For Fleetwood After Swans Deny Claim

"I have already spoken to Charlton, Swansea and Swindon, but I won't be making any decisions until I come back from holiday," said Fleetwood in the Gloucester Citizen.

"The season couldn't have gone much better for me – to get those goals was a great achievement.

"I could have had more had I not gone through an 11-game drought, but it went better than I expected.

"I wasn't particularly excited about dropping out of the League and I'm sure that Forest Green would agree that at the time they weren't the most attractive club in the division.

"But the coverage the Conference gets these days is helping players get moves back to the League and any lads who think they are too good for the non-league game should think again."

Fleetwood's claims though have been dismissed by Jenkins who said "We have got no interest in signing him.

"People try to instigate deals and that's what's happening here."

His words were also backed by Swindon manager Maurice Malpas who said ""I have spoken to Stuart Fleetwood's agent about other players, but we have had no talks with him. He is someone we are not interested in at all."

"We have accepted an offer from Crewe," said Forest Green manager Jim Harvey after the Blue Square Premier club's 1-0 win over league leaders Aldershot Town, "but whether he goes now or at the end of the season is up to him."
