The pair completed their Liberty Stadium moves last night after a week or so of speculation and, in the case of Gomez, after Espanyol themselves confirmed the deal.
Gomez has joined on a one year loan deal whilst Pintado is on a "long term performance related contract" according to the official site.
"I can assure you that we've captured two quality signings,'' Roberto explained to swanseacity.net. "They've got Championship quality written all over them.
"We've been watching the two players for the last two seasons and I'm absolutely delighted we've managed to persuade them to commit to Swansea City.
"They are typical Swansea City players in terms of quality, skill, attitude and desire.''
The Swans have paid around £100,000 plus add ons to release Pintado from his contract after the striker scored 18 goals for his club last season and 52 goals over the past three seasons.
"He is a very charismatic player, a talisman and a hero out there,'' added Roberto.
"He has goals in his blood, a real finisher; tactically very aware, aggressive and as strong as a bull.
"Now he is determined to become fully attached to Swansea City and win the hearts of the fans over here.''
Gomez is the partner of Swansea winger Andrea Orlandi's sister and is described as a playmaker – a potential replacement for want away Ferrie Bodde? – who scored 10 goals from midfield.
"We've been following his progress for quite some time and were delighted when he chose Swansea City ahead of three La Liga clubs.
"He's got great control, technical ability and never gives the ball away. And having scored 10 goals from midfield last season, he's also a clinical finisher around the box.''
The arrival takes the number of Spaniards on the playing staff to five and who is to say there isn't more to come?
