As the Rams continued their public chasing of the player with comments that he is looking for houses in Derby (despite being in Holland?) Jenkins was back on the offensive stating that he is prepared to force Bodde to stay if it comes down to it.
Derby seem unable to understand a valuation placed on the players head by Swansea and are moaning that the Swans will not let them have the player on the cheap whilst quote happily admitting that they want as much for their own players as possible.
But speaking to BBC Sport Jenkins said We can certainly keep a player
"I think Manchester United have gone on record saying Ronaldo will stay come what may and I think that's what stance clubs should take.
"Our main aim is to make sure the squad is right for the start to the season – that is our priority.
"We will have to deal with the Ferrie Bodde situation that has been created, but from our point of view, there's no rush."
Bodde still seems unlikely to be a Swansea player come August 9 despite the comments of the Chairman but it's great to see the Swans playing hard ball and waiting for the right offer for a player who they gave the chance to.
