The Swans have confirmed the retained list which confirms that Ryan Manning, Kyle Naughton and Joel Latibeaudiere will all leave the club as it currently stands with their contract ending this summer.

There was hope that at least one of the trio would pen a new deal to stay in SA1 but the current position regards Russell Martin will have an impact to that and it now looks as if all three will leave the club.

Martin was certainly an advocate seemingly of trying to keep all three and it could be that some of the discussions around these could have had an impact on his desire to leave but with all three leaving with no compensation/fees for the club then it feels like another level of poor management from those that hold the purse strings.

The club statement also added “Goalkeeper Andreas Sondergaard will leave the club at the end of the short-term deal he signed when joining in February 2023.

“Academy products Tivonge Rushesha and Daniel Williams โ€“ both of whom have featured at first-team level โ€“ will also depart when their contracts expire this summer.

“While Michael Obafemi is listed as a retained player, the striker will complete a permanent transfer to Burnley following the conclusion of his loan spell at Turf Moor.

“At academy level, Josh Carey, Richard Faakye, Zane Myers and Evan Watts have all been offered professional contracts.

“Meanwhile, Sam Leverett, Tarrelle Whittaker, Geoffroy Bony, Corey Hurford, Jada Mawongo, David Roberts and Wasiri Williams will leave Swansea City this summer.”
