| Talks have been going on between the club and the player for the last couple of weeks and pen was very close to being put to paper last Thursday until a slight disagreement over the players wages. However, he should arrive at the club sometime this week and is ready to make his debut against Exeter City on September 8th. |
| The season has not started well for the Swans, despite the optimism that an opening day win at Macclesfield bought to the supporters. The team have failed to score in the last three games and it is clear that the need for a proven goalscorer is still there and will be until we bring somebody new in. |
| Yesterday’s defeat at Lincoln was totally unacceptable and the clock must be ticking on John Hollins’ three-year reign as Swansea City manager. Say what you like about Mike Lewis, but he is not an idiot, and he will be aware of the feelings of the supporters at this moment in time. |
| We do not know when John will be shown the red card and depart the Vetch Field doors for the last time but one thing is certain – he will not be here for ever. It may be today, this week, this month or this year who knows but I cannot believe that Hollins will be here at the end of the season unless we see a dramatic upturn in fortunes from the last three performances. |
| Maybe the introduction of this striker is a last throw of the dice from Hollins but whatever the reason, a proven goalscorer at the Vetch will be a welcome addition to the Swansea City squad. |
