Further news on the situation regards the change of management at the Vetch. Peter Owen. club communications manager has been told to inform all the players that they will be required at the Vetch tomorrow to be told the news. Wednesday is traditionally the day off, especially after match day, but each player will be expected to call into the club to be told the news. |
Mike Lewis did not travel with the side to Plymouth tonight, instead watching Barry take on Port Talbot at Jenner Park, a game which the home side won 5-1. Peter Nicholas officially resigned from his post before the game ready to take up his new post tomorrow at the Vetch. |
Initial reaction from the Swansea supporters that I have spoken to is that Peter Nicholas is not necessarily the name that most wanted associated with the job but one that is a better option than others or to coin a phrase that was said to be "it couldn’t be any worse could it" |
I have my reservations on Nicholas but we just do not know what he is capable of. However, I have not enjoyed the last two years standard of football that has been produced by the team on the pitch and, as such, a change is as good as a rest. |
Only time will tell, the only sad part for me is that I will not be able to watch the start of the new era on Saturday. |
