Lewis On Easy Street

We believe and understand that Mike Lewis was paid well for that article. We hear it was as much as ร‚ยฃ5,000. That’s right five thousand pounds. Naturally, we cannot confirm where this came from but we believe that is the figure that was passed on. It’s a rumour but make of it what you will.

Let’s put it into perspective. Roger Freestone does a lot of work for a young boy by the name of Ryan who has very bad excema. Roger has donated much time to Ryan as well as putting up personal items for auction to help money. He got a payment from the same newspaper for a story and was paid just one hundred pounds for the fun. Now which cause would you deem more worthwhile?

The article, as you probably know, was asking us to feel sorry for Mike for losing his ร‚ยฃ80,000 a year job (of course the ร‚ยฃ80,000 he always said he was never earning) and all the time he has earned almost a month’s worth of that off the paper. Hypocritical? Sounds like it.

It’s an obscene amount of money and, of course being made at a time when the people he ‘cares’ about are being asked to take cuts in wages and being warned that they may not be paid at the end of the month. Will you be donating the money to help them Mike? Hmmmmm..

Meanwhile, Swansea keeper Roger Freestone has praised the support of the fan’s at last night’s game with Brighton and emphasised the gratitude of the players with regards the support they are getting. Speaking to jackarmy.net, Roger said “The atmosphere at last night’s game was brilliant. The players very much appreciate that the fans are getting behind us at what is a difficult time for the players. We played well last night and it was disappointing to lose. The players are all aware of what the fans are doing to save this club and Swansea City must not be allowed to die.”

We also understand that Mike Lewis has been after a job at Cardiff City hence why he was in the director’s box against Wigan last Friday. We have been contacted by some Cardiff fans who have stated that he will be as welcome there as he is here and we thank them for their solidarity towards us at this time.
