Swansea City have this evening confirmed that Joel Piroe has joined Leeds United for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.

He has put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal in West Yorkshire, running until the summer of 2027.

Piroe joined PSV Eindhovenโ€™s academy from Feyenoord in 2014 and went on to become a regular for Jong PSV.

He will wear the number 7 shirt at Leeds and leaves the Swans after two successful seasons.

The Swans will now turn their attention to a replacement with several names already having been under discussion.

  1. Sell sell sell thats all we have with these owners, itโ€™s the same old script every transfer window bar one when they did nothing to push out a manager for compensation! Woods to Southampton next then they will invest around 10% of sales back into the club. We are going nowhere surely we must try and keep any players we want to keep and ad investment into the squad to compete in this division, Iโ€™m asking one question do we want to compete and be successful that will take serious financial backing and investments, NOT DIVIDENDS! Ps good luck Joel .

    • Well said Clive, we are being fleeced with every sale they make. Money in the bank accounts in the states. No vision, no belief, no aspirations. There is no change at the club, the strings are being pulled from the USA and the puppets dance to their tune. Sell high buy low. Yanks out of our club.

Been watching the Swans since the very late 1970s and running the Planet Swans website (in all its current and previous guises since the summer of 2001 As it stood JackArmy.net was right at the forefront of some of the activity against Tony Petty back in 2001, breaking many of the stories of the day as fans stood against the actions where the local media failed. Was involved with the Swans Supporters Trust from 2005, for the large part as Chairman before standing down in the summer of 2020.

Can the Swans secure an agreement for second loan with Brighton?

There is little doubt that Carl Rushworth was one of the highlights of a pretty dismal season in SA1.ย  ย Clean sheets and a host of great saves were more than enough to give the on-loan goalkeeper a triple win in last week’s awards dinner but with the season is now…
