Colin Addison has been back into the transfer market and come out of it with Steve Evans, a Welsh Under 21 left back on loan from Crystal Palace as cover for the injured Mickey Howard, who went off against Rushden last weekend.

Speaking to the official site, Evans said ” It’s going to be a good experience for me. I know a few faces here, from the Under-21’s so I’m not a complete stranger! It’s good to be back in Wales, as I haven’t been here for some time, and I’m looking forward to getting regular first team football.”

Evans was taken to Selhurst Park by Swans assistant manager as a 15 year old and seems a decent enough pedigree to help the club in their quest for league points.

Meanwhile, Richie Appleby appears to be on his way out of the club to link up with former manager Jan Molby at Kidderminster. Richie has been the brunt of fans frustration with his undoubted skill but his apparent ability to be able to carry it in a white shirt. In fairness, he was never really given a shout by Hollins and has been unable to make himself a regular feature in Addison’s plans. Jan probably has the ability to make the best out of Richie’s talent and our loss could well prove to be Kiddy’s gain.

Richie will join up with Michael Keegan who is to spend a second week’s trial at Kidderminster and looks like he too has played his last game for Swansea.

Addison is also hoping to secure a move for Scarborough Striker Steve Brodie who has been a target of his since he arrived at the Vetch. Addison hopes to complete the deal before midnight tomorrow but the official site reports several problems in meeting this deadline
