Ugo Says No To Board!!

Ugo Vallerio, the man behind (!) FOSCFA today rubbished claims in the Wales on Sunday that he was to take the Supporter’s place on the newly formed board of Swansea City if and when Mel Nurse takes control.

Vallerio who spent the weekend in Torquay after watching the Swans play yesterday claimed that the report was another “figment of Paul Abbandato’s vivid imagination and total lack of research on his part”

The article claimed that Vallerio would line up on the new board alongside Nurse and Martin Morgan with Martin Burgess, former finance director of Swansea City as chairman.

Ugo also claimed “not been approached by anyone concerning the alleged ‘new board’ or being a representative on it.”

Paul Abbandanato got on the wrong side of readers of this site a few weeks back when he claimed ‘Exclusive’ over the fact that an Australian based businessman was taking over at Swansea City when the news was broken here several days before. Abbandanato also used the original name that we provided, Graeme Downie, when, just 24 hours later we provided you with the name of Tony Petty.

Where this latest ‘gem’ came from we have no idea but it looks as if at least one of the names provided to the Wales on Sunday appears to be wrong. Martin Burgess we know had a ร‚ยฃ2 bid for the club turned down last week and was at Torquay yesterday watching the team. Read into that what you will.

As for Martin Morgan, every time money is talked at Swansea City his name comes into the equation, whether he will be part of the new board is debatable but my gut feeling says no but then again it is only a gut feeling.

Whatever, it appears as if the Wales on Sunday may have let themselves down again with this article and at the same time angered Ugo who felt the need to respond immediately.

Only time will tell who Mel Nurse is going to put on his board if and when he gains control of the club. Any guesses anyone?
