Poor Mike – NOT!!!

So yet again you pick up a copy of the Evening Post and find Mike Lewis trying to look for the sympathy vote and trying to persuade people that he is here for the good of Swansea City and not for the good of Mike Lewis.

Sounds another load of b s if you ask me. Mike Lewis in something for the good of Swansea City football club? Now that would be a first. Lewis was interviewed by Gareth Vincent amongst increasing speculation that he has more of a say at the club than he would like us to believe.

We are told by reliable sources that Lewis has a very big hand on things at Swansea City. Why else would he need to be consulted when decisions are made and would an unpaid adviser really be left in day to day charge when the other two monkeys are away?

Lewis has looked for the sympathy vote beforehand and he tries again in the interview with Gareth Vincent. “Many will not believe it, but I’m not on the payroll, though I do still have my company car and phone. But I cannot continue to run on an empty tank. My shoes will be worn out and there’ll be holes in my trousers.” Ahhh, poor old Mike – so the ร‚ยฃ95,000 salary that you gave up has all gone. Mind you, have you seen the price of Whiskey these days?

But then showing his true colours Lewis goes on to say “With the Morfa project getting busier in the New Year as we move towards the August 2003 opening date, I’ll be looking for some financial reward.” Ah, now we have it, would part of that deal include some back pay then Mike as well? If you cared so much then you would just walk away you even admit in the interview “I’m scared about where I go or who I am seen with. But I’m not going to run away and I’m not going to leave Swansea.” I would if I was scared. Or is it because you can’t walk away? are you in total charge?

So Lewis looks for a salary in the new year then? But in the same interview he claims that “I don’t think the club should be blamed for cutting its wage bill. There’s still quite a big squad here, and I have so much faith and confidence in Colin (Addison) and Peter (Nicholas). I’m sure they will see us through.” So it’s OK to ship out the better players to save costs but at the same time you are looking for payment in the New Year. You’re so hypocritical Mike it’s not real.

Sorry Mike but you ran out of sympathy along time ago and Swansea City doesn’t need you any more than I need by eyeballs stretched. You are responsible for the current plight of the club through your inability to do things properly. Even Roger exposed that in his book and I gather you weren’t too happy about that either.

This is your fault and we want you out and no matter how much bleating you provide in the media you have no sympathy amongst the supporters.

I would like to say you are the weakest link Mike but I wouldn’t even rate you that highly.

I hope you’re satisfied with running a once decent football club into the ground
