News hits us here at Jackarmy.net that Jan “The Man” Molby has sensationally decided that he does not intend to take the Hull City job, widely earmarked for him, all was revealed just 24 hours after the Manic Street Preachers were seen in the directors box at the Vetch on Saturday afternoon.

As was quoted by the Hull FC chairman Adam Pearson, “I have not offered Jan Molby a 3 yr contract” it now seems that Molby only had his eye on one job, The Swans job!!

He has been quoted as saying that he would not take the Swans job if offered, however he claims this to be a misquote. In a meeting with consortium member David Morgan, he categorically said that he would love to take the job and it appears that he will do so immediately, with the full blessing of both Nick Cusack and Roger Freestone, after speaking to Roger last night he confirmed the news to me. Both him and Nick Cusack are relieved that they can both finally return to playing again, although they will still be in joint control today against Rushden & Diamonds.

Nick and Roger would both like to thank all the fans who got behind them over the past few matches, however, Nick believes that Jan will want to bring his own N0.2 in, meaning that he may not have a coaching role just yet, however he believes that he will still be able to carry on playing, maybe even after next year.

It is understood that Molby has been offered a 2 yr contract at present with an option of an extension at the end of next season. At present we are unable to establish the amount offered per year to Molby and also the compensation that Kidderminster are believed to want, however we will update you during the day.

It was described by David Morgan as nothing short of a major coup for the Swans, he declared “by securing the services of a Swans legend, we believe that we will bring not only a lot of people back to the Vetch, but also a significant amount of business”.

Are we about to dawn on a new age or are we going to ruin the reputation of this former Swans god, who will be stuck with no money and a minimal squad?

Where will this season of twists and turns finish off? Only time will tell!!
