The Swans got a much needed victory in the North East thanks to Liam Cullen’s early goal – from a corner no less – to climb far away from the bottom three.
On a very positive day, Luke Williams’ men were sharp and could have had more than the one goal to show from a strong first half display, carrying on from the display against Plymouth last weekend.
Many players showed something closer to their best as Swansea turned the form book on its head to give Williams his first league victory as manager.
