Swansea City have been appealing all summer for people to help them with some work that is needed to be carried out at the Vetch but it now seems that they have been also looking for people to start work on the new Morfa stadium.
Following the success of last weeks Radio One One Big Sunday on the site, where over 100,000 people were estimated to attend – work has now started with a gang of four volunteers braving typical Swansea weather (overcast!) this week to start laying the foundations of the stadium.
Although no further volunteers have come forward it is estimated that work on the stadium will still be completed with just the people there at present and that the stadium should open with a special Manic Street Preachers 50th anniversary concert in 2042.
