A Swansea v Cardiff “fans game” is something that has been suggested by both sides over the last year or so but the logistics and the timing have always been a problem. But finally, after a lot of hard work from our very own Reeco and Mozzer over at sleepinggiant.com, the match is well and truly on.

Over the last few weeks the Jackarmy.net squad has been in training for the Big Clash because I’m sure you understand that there is a lot of pride at stake. The lads have worked very hard under Reecos coaching and the watchful eye of SwansDaveH and Murph.

Here is the full list of the Jackarmy.net squadNomad, garyjack, starver, UnderTheArm65, Reeco, A_TRUE_JACK, swanseadevil, alwaysajack2002, swnsjak, jlh1, IAN05, Davvy, jack_in_the_box, mikeswan, centre_stand_cat, leroy_1, bucktarbrush, NE1L, KAVS, jackbar. I would like to thank everyone who has given up their own time to train for this match. The venue and date for the Big Clash is The Morfa Stadium in Swansea on Sunday 14th July 11.00 am kick off with the return leg in Cardiff at a venue and date to be confirmed. This game is a must for all supporters and we’d love to see a big crowd turn up for the game and enjoy the fun, friendly, family atmosphere.

This match also gives us the perfect opportunity to give a big thank you to one of Swansea City’s most loyal servants and for that reason we have decided to make the game a Roger Freestone Testimonial fundraiser. I hope you will be able to sponsor this game as all proceeds will be going to a great man who has given so much to Swansea City. I know for a fact that Roger could have gone to other clubs who were offering more money and who were more successful than Swansea City but he chose to stay here and if that’s not worth a tenner of anyone’s money then, I will eat my training top!!!. Seriously though, if you can sponsor the Big Clash with any amount of money I know that Roger would be very grateful. It’s just our way of saying thank you to the best keeper in the football league for all the loyalty he has shown Swansea City over the last ten years.

We all know how generous Swans fans can be as the phenomenal amount of money raised for Steven Burkes bike ride has already shown. So let’s show Roger how much we appreciate his loyalty over the last 10 years.

If you would like to pledge money to the Roger Freestone Testimonial “Fans Football Match” please e-mail me at scst.webmaster@ntlworld.com with the amount you would like to pledge and I’ll reply with the details of how to donate your money. Remember, any amount is welcome, no matter how small.

Right then, I’m off for a quick 10 mile run. See, I told you we’re taking it seriously!!!
