Jackarmy believes that both Flynn and the Swansea City board want Cusack to remain at the Vetch as part of the management set-up and in fact any press release or conference is likely to be delayed until Flynn and Cusack come to an agreement regarding Nick’s future role at the Vetch. Cusack’s future seemed in doubt last night after comments he made to fans in Boston before and after the game. We will now have to wait and see if Cusack’s professional pride stands in the way of him accepting a new role in the Vetch field managerial set-up. Cusack has to retain a professional playing contract if he is to continue as PFA chairmen so the possibility of him leaving the club altogether is remote, unless he already has another position in mind within the PFA set-up. Regarding Brian Flynn’s position at the Vetch, although it has been strongly rumoured in the press that he will become the new Swansea manager, jackarmy.net strongly believe that he will be announced as Director of Football and that Nick Cusack will remain as either player/manager or player/coach. One thing is for sure, we dearly hope that Nick remains at the club. His inspirational performances on the pitch will be vital over the coming months as we look to climb away from the foot of the table. |
