Goodridge Is Target?

Goodridge, 31, was released by Torquay at the end of last season after his second spell with the club ended with him scoring just one in 17 appearances, 8 of them as a substitute. He had rejoined Torquay after spells in this country with Bristol City, QPR and Cheltenham after Torquay handed him his league debut back in 1994. In total Greg has appeared in over 200 games in this country scoring on 26 occasions.

Flynn was at Oaklands Park Wednesday night watching Bristol City reserves being beaten by their Oxford counterparts 3-2 in a closely fought encounter.. Another interested spectator at the same game was Bristol Rovers boss Ray Graydon who is rumoured to be interested in City midfielder Simon Clist. Flynn however may have found himself impressed by Oxford striker Lee Steele who grabbed a hat-trick for the Yellows.

Goodridge is currently without a club and although not prolific is capable of adding some much needed pace to the Swansea squad which seems to suffer at the moment from being caught static too many times. I would doubt if he has the firepower to supplement what we already have but time will tell whether Flynn will get his man. Also on Flynn’s wanted list is claimed to be out of favour Man Utd defender David May who rarely gets a look in at Old Trafford these days. May is approaching the twilight of his career but will be sure to fill one of the gaping holes that seem to appear all to often in the Swans defence these days.

Meanwhile today FLPTV, the company that operates the official sites of the Football League clubs today announced that 80% of all revenues generated by the business until they receive ร‚ยฃ35 million and the clubs and the football league will receive ร‚ยฃ5 million immediately. Clubs will also share a ร‚ยฃ1.5 million advance to assist them with the premium content zones and FLPTV announced that these have achieved over 16,000 subscribers since the start of the season. Supporters will now be able to view content within 24 hours of the match end (currently 55 hours) with over a quarter of UK internet users now logging onto a PTV site. The announcements came as all official sites were taken off the air for three days for essential maintenance work.
