The Swans will this evening find out who they will face in the third round of the FA Cup when the draw is made at around 7pm on BBC 2 and BBC iPlayer.
The third round draw was traditionally one of the most eagerly looked at dates in the calendar but in recent seasons the thoughts of the fans have changed slightly with many believing that the competition has been devalued through a series of events that have weighted it towards the โbiggerโ teams in the competition, taking away some of the romanticism that has been associated with the competition in the past.
That said many fans will be watching with interest this evening the draw and making their plans for the weekend of 10-13 January when the ties will take place – all thirty two ties taking place in a four day period.
Only two non-league sides have made the third round of the competition this season – Dagenham and Redbridge and Tamworth joining sixty-two clubs from the top four divisions for the draw that will take place at Old Trafford, home of last yearโs winners Manchester United.
