Home >Story Index> More Bookings On Saturday

It will not be the first time this season that Armstrong has taken charge of the Swans – he was in charge of our 1-0 defeat against Leyton Orient back in December when he sent off the visitor’s Scott Canham for two bookable offences. He also showed seven yellow cards that afternoon including Reid, Tate and Theobald for us.
In total this season, Armstring has taken charge of 26 games and shown a total of 84 yellow cards and 6 red cards and has managed just two games where he has not reached for the notebook. His busiest game was back in September when he showed 9 cards – all yellow – in a league cup tie between Swindon and Wycombe.
Co-incidentally Armstrong was in charge the last time we visited Plainmoor. Of course we won that game 2-1 with Sidibe being on target twice but he was also one of three bookings that the referee handed out that afternoon – one more for each side.
Mr Armstrong will be assisted on Saturday by Bob Desmond of Gloucestershire and Malcolm West of Cornwall.

Southampton 3-0 Swansea City – Your player ratings

The Swans exited the FA Cup with not so much as a whimper this afternoon at St Mary’s as they were beaten by their Premier League opposition. It was nowhere near a good performance for the Swans who were second best for most of the afternoon.ย  Why not take a…
