• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Both Green Day and Korn were outstanding. I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed Korn as they’ve mostly passed me by before. Sleep Token were fine but suffered in comparison to the other two headliners. I get that mystique is their gimmick but I’m not sure headlining festivals is for them given that they don’t interact at all. A lot of the crowd drifted away through their set.

Further down, Shinedown are a particular favourite of mine so I loved seeing them. Also very much enjoyed Within Temptation, Airborne, Bullet (shame it was the exact same set I saw them play in January), Sim, Crossfaith, Jinjer, Bleed from Within. Bastardane in either Dogtooth or Avalanche were a pleasant surprise too.
I Wasn’t a HUGE fan of Shinedown beforehand but I liked a few songs, but that set was incredible from them their setlist and stage production was top class, will definitely go to their next UK show.

The singer was talking on Planet Rock about a co headline arena tour either later this year or early next.

Interesting, instantly thought Alter Bridge or Black Stone Cherry but remembered they’ve done that already, could be Creed making a return to UK.

Was at the London stadium last night to watch Iron Maiden. Phenomenal show and setlist (which I’d managed to avoid looking at beforehand). I was a bit nervous about Bruce’s voice, but he was superb. Halestorm were great too.
