• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I appreciate this in itself isn't a helpful response, but have you tried asking an AI tool for assistance i.e. CHatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude etc? I've found them to be helpful with random things like this. They've read all the manuals, forums, spec sheets and so on and can usually give you a decent number of steps to take to fix/troubleshoot.

No, the Skoda dealer couldn't offer any ideas. I'm sure there must be a solution, it's not like the car isn't reading the stick.
My Beemer does exactly the same thing Pegs. A more modern arrangement is probably the answer as the others have said. Mine also displays by album or artist with some albums ‘unknown’. I did manage to fix it a few years ago to make them visible using the car system itself, but it was one at a time, and I can’t remember how I did it now. Now I just choose to play something from the choices displayed. All of which I love anyway. Fewer choices aren’t a bad thing. Life’s too short.

Edit, and that’s with USB A.

Asking for a friend, does your Beemer have indicators fitted as standard? Apparently most don’t.

Not sure if this would help as I don’t have a Skoda, but have you tried a usb-a to usb-c adaptor to use your usb-a stick?

Something like this, although again I haven’t tried these specific adaptors

Thanks to all for your help. I will report back if I solve it.
One other thing, try a simpler file structure. It might be that your structure is too complex for the cluster software to deal with.

Dont worry NJ its witchcraft and not for us mere mortals with cd/ radios😂👍
I get in my van turn radio on as an when, if it works it works if not its a case of oh well.

Sorry Pego, I'm no help at all.

My last post on this thread 🙂

Surely a car this new would have wireless Apple CarPlay or Android equivalent !
