Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
It was an enjoyable game. Both teams are hugely improved compared to the last time we played each other. Our defence did well to contain Toure, but we need another winger with goal-scoring ability. Ronald not only lacks that, yesterday he didn't show the pace to exploit some really good passes...
Lovely day out. Travelling Jacks in great form, beautiful weather and a spirited performance. Last game we more than held our own against a team in a similar league position to us, today we matched a team contesting for promotion. Definitely progressing. Had some good chats with Norwich fans...
Just got back from the game. Great to see us outperform a team in a similar league position to us. And incredible turnout from the Swans supporters despite the tube strike - put the home fans to shame. Looking forward to Norwich on Saturday.
That embedded video of Marc Bolan and Mickey Finn performing Ride a White Swan is awesome. One of my favourite songs. Has it ever been a Vetch/Liberty/.com staple?
If there had been a fourth season of Britannia (which there absolutely should have been) that was the only possible opener IMO.
There are probably as many Swans supporters who are prepared to declare that every new manager (Duff excepted) is the 'real deal' as there are impersonators of Statler and Waldorf, waiting for any excuse to have a moan. Thankfully the vast majority of us seem to be taking a realistic view of...
The world would be a very dull place indeed if we all agreed about everything all the time. I would be surprised if anyone thinks he is the finished article. I take heart from the fact that most of us are prepared to cut him some slack when he gets things wrong and we have (for now at least)...
One of the silver linings from performances like last Saturday at Ipswich is they must reduce the risk of Matos being poached in the short term. Let’s face it, we are not ready for the play-offs, so I can cope with mid-table mediocrity if it means we keep our manager for a bit longer.
I hate Stoke. Their supporters always tipped us for relegation every season when we were in the Premier League. And they play horrible football.
Plus my irrational dislike of teams that play in red and white stripes is second only to my rational dislike of teams that play in blue. Apart from...
I think it may be because key players are knackered. Matos needs to do a lot of work on fitness when the season ends. We need to be able to maintain a high press when it is appropriate, and we need to be able to cope with other teams doing the same. Ipswich and Bristol City both did that and we...
I think that’s a fair summary of the gap in class between the two teams, especially up front. Referee was poor (again). But we are currently less than the sum of our parts, IMO. Individually skilled players give the ball away too cheaply through poor passing or being too easily muscled off the...
He deserves another chance after that goal in the last game, and VIP deserves a rest. Matos is still learning but I have faith in him. This starting line-up is a logical build on the second half of the last match
