Here’s another pearler,a Welsh person living in Wales can’t buy a house unless they speak Welsh now.
Classic.

No surprise!

Is it any wonder bearing in mind the 'cherry-picking' isolationist/yokel idiots, who will sever Welsh NHS from all 'outside' specialty health services, whilst thinking they can enter re-negotiations with a begging bowl, desperate for for English services. And all at the very same time that they plan to charge England for Welsh water. LOL!!!!

This is the standard of oddball-crackpot Welsh speaker that we are talking about here.

I used to compete during the 1970's with all the other intelligent English speaking kids in Eisteddfods', we were judged in the early preliminaries in places like Loughor Welfare Hall and Dynevor School.

It was rather noticeable, that despite making an effort to learn what is a minority language, we were somewhat second class and ignored by the first-language Welsh speaking clique within.

And onto Twin Town actor Keith Allen, whom appeared on Saturday afternoon radio to state his contempt for likeminded “them and us” Welsh language snobbery from the Aberystwyth/Ceredigion crackpots who happen to speak a 'different' type of Welsh to that of others. Keith Allen sounded extremely unimpressed by the Welsh language.

In fact when learning from standard comprehensive issue book, I was surprised to realise that the Welsh that my Hendy grandmother spoke was different to the 'grammatic' Welsh that appeared in books.

What an embarrassment i.e. a country with differing versions of its so called native tongue!

And then there was 'soft-mutation' that many of us encountered whilst learning, which makes about as much sense as wheeling a cement mixer up a sand-dune instead instead of going around it. LOL!!!!

Yes to be fair if I was you I’d definitely be continuing to try and master English before considering giving any other language a go.

Welsh housing for Welsh people is perfectly fine, but not this.
I agree Coops.
Jobs should go to those who are best qualified and suitable for those roles, if they are able to speak Welsh all well and good, if they aren't able to speak Welsh then an interpreter should be there to help. IMO.

That's a hell of a planning condition, I've seen some pearlers in my time, but that is beyond ridiculous.

Beth sy'n bod gydar cynnig hwn?
It would be quite an interesting village for visitors if the habitants then only spoke Welsh.
I think it would be excellent for a place to have just Welsh speakers but, at the same time, you can't be stopping people buying a place if the didn't speak the language.
Maybe it should be strongly encouraged that new people spoke Welsh because it isn't a dirty language as the teachers in Plasmarl would have the kids believe in 1940's Swansea.

Can you imagine the outrage if the language they were proposing was Urdu or something similar.
No wonder there is conflict in the world when folk come up with shite like that. The fella must have been on a windup that's all I can think. I literally give up.😔
