• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

    Losing a pet

Evening all. It only seems like yesterday that Daz had posted that they'd finally lost their dog at around 17 years old (I think) We are having our Lab put down (who is a couple of months shy of 15) on Saturday. Bloody horrible. Sorry for the morbid post but it just seems surreal.

    Local elections

Andrea Jenkyns as a Mayor Reform winning Runcorn. Got to say, they have a great communications team, as PIP and Winter Fuel was apparently the main subject on the doorstep. How they've convinced voters to vote for them (given they've openly said they want to decimate the state) is a testament...

    Knorr Gravy pots

Very impressive, I have to say. Made a lovely beef gravy with the dripping at the bottom of the pan - deglazed with a glug of red and then adding the veggie water. Sieved twice and a big dollop of butter. Good enough to drink!

Prep for Christmas lunch (or dinner whatever you call it)

If you haven't started yet, the Jamie Oliver get ahead gravy is good enough to drink. https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/chicken-recipes/get-ahead-gravy/ The other tip is to brine your turkey in a saltwater solution (60g salt per litre of water). Lovely stuff!
