Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
It’s quite easy to cite Blair as the type we need.
I’d agree in terms of his genius in relation to communication.
But let’s be fair. In 1997 the economy was booming, liberal democracies were in ascendancy and there was no social media. Let’s not forget he sucked up to Murdoch too.
It’s not...
I know what you mean I got dangerously close to this with the no deal brexit nonsense.
But the same people desperate for it would have been on the streets within weeks.
To add some context the last functioning Gov before this one was Theresa May and that was destroyed by brexit.
How people can say frying pan to fire when we’ve lived through Johnson and Truss is beyond me.
Sunak wasn’t horrendous but had no chance after those two.
But more fundamentally...
It’s quite bizarre defending a centre left gov. One that I pragmatically voted for without any love but can see how they’re trying their best and the people who should support them hate them.
The power of the media is something to behold.
This Government are definitely more to the left of new...
And let’s forget the MASSIVE black hole that would create in public finances.
The inequity between the generations is the real challenge of our times.
The triple lock should be scrapped for one.
“I’ve paid in all my life” such an entitled group. Many of the women never worked for one!
Some of the “opinions” on here are laughable. Literally zero answers just moaning.
it reminds of the Harry and Paul piss take of question time.
“Why doesn’t the government just sort it out”
Yeah great idea well done lads
Absolutely.
Capital is so mobile these days, punitive taxes in yesteryear although arguably damaging could be sustained not now.
And yes I suppose my customs union point is more related to pragmatism. Baby steps in the direction of sanity.
Right I can give you the fact they’re incompetent and they’re useless communicators.
But what “promises” have they broken here. Granted taxes have increased but they have not raised the main taxes which I actually disagree with.
For me my criticism comes from a more right wing perspective it...
How do you get cost of housing down?
The reason I cite taxation is because it incentivises stability and it reduces State bureaucracy.
Childcare doesn’t have to be an either or either. It is ridiculously expensive in this Country. Agreed.
One of the reasons for this is much more stringent...
Steve what is your view on if a marriage breaks down, a spouse dies or there’s a divorce? Say they have 4 kids.
So the wife is now without the breadwinner and has 4 kids to support? Tough shit?
Flipping heck.
In all my experiences by the way Asians (by this I bet you mean Indians and Pakistanis) are some of the most hard working diligent entrepreneurial people in this Country.
We can in many cases learn a lot from their get and go mentality. They work bloody hard.
But as ever the...
