• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

    Happy pancake day

Interestingly (or not), I've already had mine today. Went out for breakfast at a local cafe and they were doing them all day, so I had poached eggs on toast with a couple of Lincs sausages and then the pancakes for afters with (as mentioned above) lemon and sugar - the only way :). The lemon had...

    NFL 2025

Stayed up and watched the game, but cannot cope with the razz and commercials, so I dip in and out. Dominant performance but wasn’t in the bag (for me) until well into the Q4. The whole team all seem like a bunch of level headers with a genuine respect for each other. The Pats have a decent...

    Epstein Files

Put aside (for a moment) the reasons why Starmer selected Mandelson for US Ambassador. Why did the current US administration/White House, permit such a high-profile associate of such a high-profile convicted paedophile, take up such a high profile, ambassadorial post? I’m sure the White House is...

    Losing a pet

I agree, this was a very tough read and I'm very sad for your loss. Our cat was 21 when we saw her off and was I broken up? Oh, my word! When you live with a pet for that long (and I'm not sure it makes any difference what type of creature it is), you simply become attached and so when it's time...

    NFL 2025

Me and my son in law have been following the Seahawks for about 14 years. We managed to get to the Wembley game when they beat the Raiders. Any team that takes the Rams twice in a season has a good chance of winning the SB. Will hopefully be able to book some leave for Monday 9.

    Trumper

He's gone from bone spurs to brain spurs. He should be sitting in the shade of a nice Red Maple in a very expensive retirement home in Vermont, sipping coke through a straw and fumbling for the border pieces of a Trump Tower jigsaw puzzle.

    Rob Reiner

Perhaps the EU (and UK. if it has the balls) should announce a five year social media history check for visiting members of the US administration. If I was Ursula Wonder Lion, I would announce it, if only for giggles.

Things that annoy you more than they should

Petrol Stations, that don't stock Tinned Sardines/Mackerel in Tomato Sauce (Spicy or otherwise). They have flip-flops, packets of Refreshers, Tampons and even a lettuce, but no effing Sardines.....w....t....f!!

    Nobel Peace Prize goes to…

There’s a deal in Israel/Gaza, but it isn’t a peace deal. Trump tells Benny to go at it for a few months, do what he’s got to do, and if that means turning the gaff into rubble and baby limbs, well, crack on, and then they’ll get back together and have a ‘peace’ deal, and I’ll get a gong. It’s...

    Charlie Kirk

I wasn’t familiar with the name Charlie Kirk (CK) but did recognise the pic of him on BBC. I then went about reading a few of his views and it quickly became apparent that he was another mouthpiece of the MAGA master race and grovelling devotee of the orange opioid himself. A gobshite...

    BLAZE RIP

Like numerous other contributors to this thread, I rarely post on here, but I’m a frequent visitor, so am ‘familiar’ with the characters on this site and Blaze was clearly respected and a good pal to quite a few of you. Having waved goodbye myself, to a family member just last week, I’m aware of...
