    Swansea Fringe 3rd-5th October 2024

https://www.swanseafringe.com/ This is the first I've heard of this yet they've apparently run them in previous years. Anyone ever been? Is it a bit like Edinburgh? The (sparse) info I can find seems to suggest it's a music festival. I'd prefer if there was a bit of comedy, but here's...

    Christmas Dinner 2024

I don't actually mind cooking Christmas dinner. More accurately I don't actually mind buying the stuff from M&S (hark at me!) then my wife cooking it while I run around in the background, flapping. Our local in Sketty bit off more than they could chew last Christmas, booked too many in then...

    Night Sleeper

I thought it was a great idea but terribly done. That script was excruciating. I don't think I've ever tutted so much.

    Cruise Holidays

I think that's the only one I'd seriously consider, as it's the most civilised way of getting the dog to the US if we decide to go for a proper stretch. I did a bike and barge holiday once. We cycled from Amsterdam to Bruges, leaving the barge each morning after breakfast, meeting up with it...

    Murder in Gendros

Aye. There'll have been lots of blood. Christ what a tragedy.

NHS guidance says staff should ask men if they're pregnant ahead of X-rays ...

So this was previously a woman, who is becoming a man, though still having vaginal sex of whatever sort. Man, so many questions.

    Investment Thread

I thought mine was quite a witty post. But I guess I just didn't read the room.

    Some sad news for me.....

I'm sorry to hear about your mate, K23. My football-watching buddy died suddenly 12 years ago. It's still tough not having him around.

    Stabbings at school in Ammanford

More an observation. You can be wound up by someone without resorting to violence.

    Bloody hell

The trouble with a fine, as mentioned above, is it would likely need to be sourced via questionable means. It's like when they fine drug-addicted hookers.

    Stabbings at school in Ammanford

I regularly feel like stabbing people. Just had to put that out there. I know there are some folks who don't like surprises.

    XL Bullies

Even without the appalling injury, being taken down by a sausage dog is reason enough not to show one's face in public. I quite like her sons' names: Fletcher and Cooper. I reckon her next might be called Tanner or Cartwright.

If organ removal becomes an option then starting with their reproductive ones might be a game changer.

    Bloody hell

The difficulty in punishing caravanners is that they either won't pay the fine or the steps they take to generate the money to pay the fine may prove unpopular.

Swansea CAMRA Pub of the Year

https://swanseacamra.org.uk/2024/04/20/swansea-camra-names-its-2024-pub-of-the-year/ It's an attractive-looking pub from the outside but honestly I've never seen it open let alone been in.

    20 mph limits

This reminds me of some of the road modifications around Swansea in recent years. They make a complete pigs ear of it, then eventually they improve it. The bendybus-influenced Russian roulette traffic flow along Kingsway, and the dire bus lane on Neath Road with the right turn into Pentre Mawr...

    Derek Underwood RIP ...

I only saw him play a couple of times. Once at Sophia Gardens where Kent won easily and once at St Helens where conditions were so unhelpful he bowled at medium pace, and Glamorgan still struggled to score off him. Kent won easily again.
