The media seem to be having a problem with what these should be called. Should they be referred to as ‘prisons’?

What do you think?

They are facilities in which to bring together asylum seekers from diverse places and keep them together, in a concentrated manner… ‘concentrated’ … ‘concentration’… oh, sh1t!!

The Tory scum have obviously been inspired by the prison ships featured in the current TV version of 'Great Expectations'. At least we have somewhere to put all their ex MPs after the next election.

Dog whistle stuff again. Works a treat with those it’s meant to work on.

Chartism #1 lead to the ‘democracy’ we have today (in the main). Is it time for Chartism #2? What would your ‘Points of the Charter’ be?
Proportional representation?
No second jobs?
An elected second house?
Full prosecution for MPs breaking the rules/law?
No political contact for 10 yrs after losing seat?
Do away with all ‘expenses’?
BJ and JRM to be put down?

Paint the windows white, they are on the QE2 :D

What more can our government do..? We can't even give decent accommodation to our own people, how the hell can we cope with a never-ending influx of people.. At what point does some person say stop, i have just realised we are full.

How about opening processing centres in France, so those poor desperate people don't have to pay criminals to get them across the channel? For a start like.

This country was built on migration, and still relies on it, because we have millions of lazy white people in this country who are unwilling to work and are happy to bleed the system dry.

Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of foreign workers who fecked off because of Brexit, which is why there are massive labour shortages and failing services in many sectors, including health, social care, agriculture and hospitality.

Government admits that their oft repeated claim that the majority of those crossing the channel on small boats are economic migrants is in fact bollocks and they have no evidence to back the claim up. Shocker I know. Still, plays well with the thickies on the right.

Yeah, but blue passports and sovereignty and getting our country back, wibble wibble.

Why would they need evidence? Surely anyone escaping persecution, would be quite happy to get out of said country?, once they arrive in a place, and they have fled their persecution, any further travel surely it is correct to say an economic migrant.
