CK’s

He's opened one just down the road from me on Friday in Johnstown , it's pretty decent.
The one in Penclawdd is excellent.
Good luck to him.

He didn't exactly start from scratch though did he , he knew the business all his life through his family and I presume he got a large cash amount for selling his share in it

The article actually says his brother bought him out of Julians ?
So yes he had experience and some cash from the buyout, however he has done well to build his business from scratch and using local Welsh products and creating many jobs.
Best of luck to him.
Much rather spend my cash with him ( which I do in Birchgrove) than a certain untrustworthy car salesman in Neath Abbey

I never had you down as a skateboarder G.

Is it true he run over and killed a kid on Carmarthen Road, by the Gors Avenue junction?

Don’t know but I never heard that before. I knew him years ago, gave me my first part time job when he was starting out with the first shop, went all over the place for him. I liked him, bit if an arsehole, but likeable.

From what I've heard he's a lot of an arsehole, but yes good for him 👏

Speak as you find init. Don’t get me wrong, he bawled and shouted at me but he was always alright afterwards, and to be fair I was dicking about most of the time. £1.74 an hour was what I got in the beginning. 😂

He's got a better choice in property than the guy who built that monstrosity on Mumbles Road too. Lives in a lovely spot to be fair.

Very coincidental so soon after that feature last week
Or was that what it was all about, who knows

I must have worked for him about the same time as you as I remember the hourly rate!

At the end of one shift, I was off straight to football training (aged 16) and he stopped me at the door and emptied my kitbag at the checkout to see if I was trying to nick anything. This was in front of everyone.

As a shy kid I was absolutely mortified and never went back.

NB I hadn’t taken anything!
