• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

A pint maybe 2 is pleasant Max, but it'll creep up on you at 5.9% .
Enjoy and remember 2 paracetamol before bed 👍😉

Keg finished Dicky, half last week and 2nd half this week, to be honest I thought it nicer tonight than last week, will definitively buy it again.

Not sure if the Swansea Beer Festival is coming back ever, so had a mini beer festival at my place last night with some family and friends. We all bought a selection of beers we hadn't tried before, with me supplying a load of local beers I picked up from a bottle shop up in Warwick over the summer.

One mate went along to the Mumbles Brewery unit on the Enterprise Park and brought along a selection of bottles. They were the best of the night by far. I'm struggling to remember the names of the beers this morning and I'm not digging through the bin to check! I recommend going there and letting them sell you a selection as there were some beauts in there.

Aldi have just released a 5% India Pale Lager in conjunction with Goose Island called "Goose on the Loose"

Andy rates it. So does my missus. For Guinness drinkers there's a 7.5% bottled version, brewed in Nigeria, in Home Bargains at the moment.

I used to have a regular Friday / Saturday slurp of Punk IPA but it got a little sickly after a while. Since swapped it for Goose Island and it’s standing the test of time.

I enjoy the Punk IPA myself, I had a perfect draft keg of it here, it was ok, thought it a bit bland, much better from a proper pub tap though.

Gonna order a keg of Goose Islands Midway not tried that one and another keg of Cervezas La Virgen 360 IPA
found that to be very nice.
