• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Only ever been in to the Welcome pub. Great Sunday lunch there.
I have to say the beer garden at the Dolphin looks superb. No need for glamping pods to be built on it surely?

The Dolphin used to be our starting point for minibus booze tours around the Gower. It's a nice pub. Beer Garden second only to the Britannia Inn in Llanmadoc of the pubs we regularly visited.

Be a shame to put Glamping on it, but the place clearly needs another source of income from somewhere.

You must've been well behaved because the last time i rocked up there in a minibus we were turned away. Shame as it used to be a cracking pub.

Last time we went was about five years ago and we were always a mixed group which makes a difference.

The only one we ever came close to getting thrown out of was the Plough in Murton. One of the ladies got a bit loud and singy.

It seemed like a very "local pub for local people" at the time. It's gone a bit Gastro now. the son of a guy I used to work with runs it.
