Have tried to take a break from here for a couple of weeks.

Partly due to the marathon and partly due to some reasons that frankly aren't important

It's quite difficult though because of constant references from people who pretend they don't care creating discussion that eventually feeds back. It's quite pathetic because after all, it's an internet forum/website and nothing more.

Anyway, thank you to EVERYONE who donated to the marathon sponsorship which has nudged to within a whisker of £2500. I loved every minute of the marathon experience in London but struggled with running form due to a training plan that went off...err....plan for a variety of reasons. But the generosity of those who backed me saw me through the 26.2 miles in a time much slower than I initially hoped for (when the training was good) but it's the same 26.2 miles for everyone.

I'll head back on here after the weekend and get the articles back up and running but I can't take it as seriously as I used to, quite enjoy my "time away"

Oh and to those who like to create division, you're wasting your time but thanks for visiting anyway ;)

Well done on the marathon and great total raised. That’s the achievement to take away.

Seriously, fck the time, I’ve long ago given up worrying about any time I run. Just getting out there and doing it is the most important part. Once you give up worrying about the time you’ll enjoy it more.

Bit like being on here. Don’t take it seriously and you’ll enjoy it more 😉👍

I hope I'll get there. I just did a shit 10K time at Bristol (worst in 40 years at races) so I'm fed up. Don't like being 63.

Well done Phil. Any marathon is a good one. Have a look at this poor lass aiming at 3.30 AND backed by adidas and experts. That said, not sure the end does her any favours.

A pleasure to say that you've now passed that 😊

Well done Sir.

Well done Phil Great Effort and for a worthy cause.

Well done Phil. I was never a runner myself so always have great respect for anyone who completes a marathon. Top Man!
