I cannot believe how disgraceful the ATP ( Mens) and the WTA (Womens) International governing bodies in tennis are at condemning the entirely reasonable decision of the UK LTA and AELTC (Wimbledon) bodies in banning Russian and Belarussian players from competing in Wimbledon and other tournaments in the UK this year.

They claim the decision is "Unfair".

What is "unfair" is denying children, OAPS and citizens in the Ukraine to the rest of their lives because of blatant Russian aggression..!

Both the ATP and the WTA need to get a grip now! They show complete and utter denial in moral sense..

There is some credence in the argument that if a Russian or Belarussian player makes a public statement completely condemning the actions of Putin and the Russian State, then they should be allowed to play. An argument against this however is that should those players do well and progress through the tournament, the Russian state media bastards will just cut and paste and pixellate whatever coverage and interviews transmitted to suit their argument. No

No ordinary Russians will be any the wiser and just think their players are doing well. The players' statements will not be broadcast in Russia, and will be suppressed on the internet and all media sources. The Russian people will just support their players as normal, in the belief that they are being allowed to play and that the tennis bodies are not critical of Putin's war.
