• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Maybe most of that is because paperwork not being up-to-date and stuff like that, I'm sure someone was telling me that it's not always specifically down to cleanliness, maybe not the case here, but still.

I've never been there and never wanted to either to be honest, I'd rather go somewhere like the Grill house or Seager's.

The paperwork one is a myth.

What rating do those 2 places have?

"ENGLAND
Businesses in England do not have to display their rating at their premises but are encouraged to do so.
WALES
Businesses in Wales are legally required to display their ratings in a prominent place, like the front door, entrance or window of the business. All businesses in Wales must provide information on their rating verbally if requested in person or over the phone."

Both a Five.

Six of us went recently.
We had starters, steak and chips and wine.
The bill came to over £300.
It'll be a long tome before i go again.

Lordy. The less I eat out the less likely I am to do so, especially at £50 a head.

It’s massively overrated as a restaurant imo.

Didn't zeta Jones say it was her favourite place to eat or something like that

Been there a long time ago, always felt as if they were doing you a favour and rushed you in and out. As for paperwork its not myth, i had the council in Bridgend once reporting cracked tile above wash basin. When i asked for the photo to repair it turned out to be hair or something similair. I for one am glad that this has been so successful.

Nah, she said her favourite place to eat was the Potters Wheel on curry night, chicken tika masala and a pint for £5.99. Michael goes for the chicken korma

I went there about 10 years ago and haven't been back. The staff who were a lot younger than I had remembered were bloody useless and half soaked.
Such a shame as it used to be tremendous around the mid to late 90's.

Used to be one of my favourite restaurants, haven't been there for a good 3 years or so now. Always liked the atmosphere and the food was pretty good. The place has always had its detractors.

It was always a good place to go for a reasonable lunch, two courses for around a tenner about 10-12 years ago, but the prices have risen dramatically in the last couple of years. £17 for a set lunch now...this is part of the problem I think.

Every time I've been there they've tried it on by adding on a few bottles of Siglo. Rip off.
