We've had a smart meter for the last 5 or 6 years, but the hitherto very useful display unit packed in about 18 months ago, and it cannot be replaced according to our supplier E-on as we have a older style SMETS 1 meter that won't be upgraded for some time.......the meter is so rubbish, that for the first time since it was installed some bloke turned up the other day to read it manually......

Just phone them up and complain that you have to read the meters all the time, they'll soon come out and upgrade to Smets 2, the IHD's never really worked far to temperamental, try turning it off for a few minutes and move it closer to electric meter.

There was a programme on a while ago, (Martin Lewis ??) where they said that thousands of SMET 1 meters had stopped working and the energy companies were refusing to upgrade them.

If you haven't got a Smart Meter, they'll be there tomorrow to install a SMET 2. 😂

There was supposed to have been a massive software upgrade to the SMET 1 ending on the 31/12/2022.

That looks like its gone tits up.

I've been fighting SO Energy since mine stopped working 03/2022.

Smets 3 is in the melting pot being stirred

I took mine tonight and when entering them it said that they were taken last week June 23rd.
Suspiciously, they were higher than what they are tonight. We'll have to wait and see.
