• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I kind of hope the DPD driver may well be facing some level of disciplinary for that piece of driving?

Yes the driver should be severely warned as he could have killed the pennyfarthingist, not defending that driver at all but if you have ever done parcel deliveries you would know the pressure these lot are under, i did it full time for about 2 years for DPD, they put you under so much pressure to get as many deliveries done, you are self employed and therefore do not have any backing so the employers are a ruthless set of bastards, you do between 100-120 drops a day, which is hard work, you come home and just flake out, then onto it the next day and the next, I did it part time for a period after leaving and took no shit from the supervisors, it was great to tell them to go fuck themselves on occasions.

If DPD are putting pressure on drivers then DPD, could be held responsible for any accident

Mind,if you go haring down a busy road in London on a Penny Farthing, probably with no brakes, you are bound to come to a sticky end.
