Anybody used one of the home kits that worked well or had it done in surgery in and around Swansea.

What was the cost

Would be interested to know too. My missus wants it done

Mrs j2j had hers done a few years back, birthday present from yours truly.
see your dentist they can do it or refer you to someone like Neat teeth in SA1
They wiil make impressions of the teeth and make up a retainer tray that fits the mouth exactly, which also holds the gel that's used to whiten the teeth. I wouldn't recommend home kits, i've read horror stories, let your dentist sort it. Now i can't remember the cost i'll find out and get back to you guys, think it was about £300 quid. (TBC). The gel isnt cheap either. you'll need to buy those quite regularly, depending on how much you whiten the teeth.

My dentist reckoned the home kits were ok and worked well enough. Haven't gotten around to it yet - from what I remember the gel costs around £30 a time and needs redoing every three months

That's a coincidence, Mrs K has just had exactly the same treatment and only finished the course last Friday! And yes, it did cost £300. And now she smiles like this (but her face is considerably less yellow):D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Botox last week, teeth whitening this week, I can't wait for the eyebrow tinting thread next week.

Come back waynekerr55 and his home improvement threads

You cannot judge how white your teeth will go. It is dependent on your natural tooth colour and how your teeth react to the bleach. The bleach can make gums and teeth ache after you've used it. Over time your teeth will return to their original colour.

I would advise against getting a kit from amazon/ebay etc. I know people who have used those and their teeth have gone transparent and sensitive.

Anyone remember the Pepsodent toothpaste ad? Great slogan.
